Why Community Matters
We make community programming a priority, because we know the power of moving together. Warehouse Dance performs in nontraditional spaces, like distilleries, garages, and yes, warehouses, to provide access to dance to those who may not normally attend a typical show in a theater. Our community work shapes and informs our creative process, so the dances you see speak to issues you’re thinking about.

DBWD Workshop
Workshop establishes longterm communities through shared practice, and a collective commitment to giving back.

OpenUp
OpenUp gives dancers new to New York a space to gather and resources to share.

Our Lips
Our Lips gathers stories from across the country, online in a communal and safe space.
PERFORMANCES THAT SPEAK TO YOU
Our community building enhances and informs our dance-making.
